Yoga will ruin your life just like it ruined mine.
In my opinion, you should not practice yoga. Instead, why not eat as much as you wish, act on your impulses, have as many partners as you want – all for the sake of having a ball?
In fact, I am an expert in having a good time. Unfortunately, health issues and depression forced me off this path. Instead, I embarked on a yogic journey. Consequently, yoga ruined my life.
1) Yoga ruined my life by spoiling my diet
Partly as an elimination diet and partly as a result of yogic propaganda, I found myself eating a plant-based diet. Besides, I now prefer to eat homemade food digested in silence. As a result, I’ve lost a few pounds. My skin cleared up, and I feel great. However, I am not a fun company and practically dislike most of the foods everyone else eats.
2) Yoga ruined my life by wasting social life
Typically, I practice yoga before sunrise while the world is still asleep. I gave up drinking. To that end, it is hard to go out when your bedtime is 8:00 PM.
3) Yoga ruined my life by wrecking my limited beliefs
Yoga philosophy opened my mind and transformed my belief system.
If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite. For man has closed himself up, till he sees all things thro’ narrow chinks of his cavern.
~~ William Blake, The Marriage of Heaven and Hell ~~
In conclusion, I would not recommend yoga to anyone who wishes to continue the experiences of indulging and following our endless sensual desires. Even if it won’t make us happier.

I loved reading this! Yoga ruined my life because now I can’t travel anywhere without my yoga mat and it takes up valuable luggage space! 🙂
It wasn’t yoga, for me, that ruined what I considered my so-called life at the time. The changes and rewards have been countless. Thanks for the perspective!
Hi Jane,
Thanks for your comments!
Great article and fun read thanks Anna! Yoga ruined my life by making me grounded. Now all the excitement of drama in my day is gone and I just feel peaceful instead.
Thanks, Kathleen! I moved from NYC to a small mountain town in CO – no drama!
