We can also say that alchemy is the magical process of transformation and creation characterized by the transmutation of ordinary metal into gold.  The practice of yoga is a pathway of transformation.  In other words, when we enter the path of yoga, we embark on the beautiful process of creating a new reality. Yoga can help us to shift our perspective, and consequently change our reality.   So, we rid of the patterns that no longer serve us and adopt new patterns that are in line with our true inner self.
